The investigation into the recent blast near the Red Fort has taken a sharp and alarming turn, with agencies identifying 68 mobile numbers that were active both at the Sunheri Bagh parking area and at the explosion site during the crucial time window. According to investigation sources, several of these numbers received calls from Pakistan and Türkiye, raising serious concerns about transnational coordination.
Tower Dump Data Reveals Key Digital Footprints
Immediately after the blast, police extracted dump data from mobile towers around Sunheri Bagh and the Red Fort. This dataset has now become central to the probe, uncovering multiple technical clues:
187 phones were active within a 30-metre radius of Dr. Umar’s car, which remained parked at Sunheri Bagh for over three hours.
At the blast location, 912 phones were active within a 10-minute window five minutes before and after the explosion.
Mapping both datasets helped investigators isolate 68 mobile numbers that were present at both sites at the relevant times.
These 68 devices now form the core of the investigation.
Foreign Servers, Proxy Routing, and Data Spikes Noted
According to sources, many of the suspicious numbers were connected to a single foreign server that frequently switched between Pakistani and Turkish IP clusters. Investigators believe proxy servers were used to mask real locations.
In several cases, unusual data spikes were detected on Indian networks minutes before the blast a pattern that has raised red flags.
Two devices found at the scene showed minute-to-minute location shifts, consistent with GPS spoofing, suggesting the phones may have been remotely manipulated or rerouted through foreign networks.
Agencies are now examining exactly which phones connected to foreign IPs in the minutes leading up to the explosion.
Intensified Search in Nuh and Ferozepur Jhirka
The investigation has expanded into Haryana’s Nuh and Ferozepur Jhirka region. So far:
Seven people were detained.
After three days of intense questioning, four including three doctors and a fertilizer shop owner were released.
Their mobile phones remain with investigators for deep forensic analysis.
Teams are scanning more than 100 CCTV cameras, with several clips already seized as evidence. Digital surveillance has also been extended to social media groups in the Mewat region.
One key suspect’s relative the sister of detainee Rizwan is currently on the run.
Central Agencies Camped in Nuh
Sunheri Bagh links have led investigators to Nuh’s Hidayat Colony, where central agencies and local police have been stationed for four days. The room where Dr. Umar allegedly stayed has been sealed, and the area has been heavily barricaded with round-the-clock security.
Inside the colony, teams are searching for digital evidence, documents, and potentially incriminating material. CCTV footage from the area is being thoroughly reviewed.
Political Reactions
Local BJP leaders, including district president Surendra Singh Pintu and former Faridabad chairman Sandeep Joshi, have demanded a fair and uncompromising investigation. They described the incident as a serious breach of national security and stressed that “no traitor should be spared.”
Investigation Continues
With multiple foreign links emerging, sophisticated digital masking detected, and suspicious devices under scrutiny, agencies believe the blast may have involved a coordinated network operating across borders.
The probe is now focused on identifying the owners of the 68 suspicious numbers, tracking their movements, and verifying their foreign communication patterns.
More arrests are likely as the investigation progresses.
