In a powerful address at a Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) event, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath invoked the legacy of great national heroes like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Maharana Pratap, and Guru Gobind Singh while warning against the dangers of “political Islam.”CM Yogi described political Islam as an ideology that seeks to alter India’s demography and divide the nation. “Political Islam is the same force which, in the form of people like ‘Chhangur,’ aims to break Bharat Mata into pieces,” he said, referring to recent cases involving alleged conspiracies linked to demographic manipulation.
Complete Ban on Halal Certification in Uttar Pradesh
The Chief Minister reiterated his government’s tough stance on Halal certification, announcing a complete ban on the practice across Uttar Pradesh. “No organization can now issue or use Halal certificates for selling their products in the state,” Yogi said.He further alleged that the Halal certification system has been misused to generate funds for terrorism, religious conversions, and ‘love jihad.’ “A conspiracy is being run in the name of Halal. The money raised through it is being used against the nation,” he stated, urging citizens to check for GST compliance instead of relying on Halal tags.Expressing surprise, Yogi questioned, “Why should there be Halal certification on soaps, clothes, or even matchboxes?” He added that the people of Uttar Pradesh will neither buy nor sell such products anymore.
Warning Against Love Jihad and Conversions
The Chief Minister also cautioned against growing incidents of “love jihad” and forced religious conversions, calling them “anti-national activities.” Drawing parallels with the characters of Kalnemi, Tadaka, and Shurpanakha from the Ramayana, Yogi urged citizens to remain vigilant against those who infiltrate families under false identities to deceive Hindu women. He cited the example of Jalaluddin alias Chhangur from Balrampur, whose activities were monitored for three years before his arrest. “Until his capture, no one even knew his real name was Ali,” Yogi revealed.
‘Political Islam’ — The Greatest Threat to Faith

CM Yogi asserted that political Islam poses a greater danger to Sanatan Dharma than colonialism ever did. “Our ancestors fought against British and French colonialism – they also resisted political Islam. It is the greatest enemy of Sanatan faith,” he declared. The Chief Minister’s strong words come as the UP government enforces new measures aimed at tightening regulation and curbing practices perceived to threaten national unity.
