India is on the verge of sealing a $450-million BrahMos missile contract with Indonesia, with only the final clearance from Russia now pending. Once approved, this will mark one of India’s biggest-ever defence export breakthroughs.
Sources tell ANI, almost all formalities are complete, signalling a major leap in India’s defence diplomacy. The BrahMos, one of the world’s fastest supersonic cruise missiles, has seen a surge in global interest — especially after its recent high-precision showcase during Operation Sindoor.
A large number of friendly nations have now lined up to acquire the system, impressed by its range, accuracy and proven battlefield performance. Several agreements are in the final negotiation stage and expected to be signed soon.
If the pending approvals come through, India’s expanding BrahMos export pipeline is set to deliver one of the biggest defence export successes in India’s history, firmly placing the country among the world’s top defence suppliers.
