Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday launched a major anti-corruption initiative titled “Vigilance – Our Shared Responsibility” at the State Secretariat in Dehradun. The campaign aims to strengthen transparency in governance and ensure that citizens receive hassle-free public services without facing bribery or delays. It will be conducted across the state until Uttarakhand Foundation Day on November 9.
“No One Will Be Spared for Corruption,” Warns CM Dhami
Addressing officials during the inauguration, CM Dhami said that eradicating corruption is a collective responsibility and that his government will act firmly against any officer involved in malpractice. “Corruption will not be tolerated in any form. Transparency and accountability must reach every level of administration. Whoever indulges in corruption or negligence will not be spared,” Dhami asserted.
He directed all departments to ensure clean, transparent, and efficient administration, reaffirming that ongoing investigations into corruption cases will continue without interference. The Chief Minister said the campaign’s goal is to make Uttarakhand a model of ethical governance and administrative integrity.
Green Cess for a Clean and Responsible Uttarakhand
As part of the state’s 25th Foundation Year, CM Dhami also announced a Green Cess on vehicles entering Uttarakhand from other states. The revenue collected will be used for air pollution control, green infrastructure development, and smart traffic management systems.
Dhami said the initiative reflects the government’s dual commitment to transparency and environmental sustainability. “As Uttarakhand completes 25 years, our mission is clear — a corruption-free, clean, and green Uttarakhand,” he said.
With the new vigilance campaign and environmental reforms, CM Dhami has sent a clear message: his government stands firm against corruption and is determined to build a state defined by integrity, accountability, and sustainable growth.
