Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued a firm warning to anti-social elements attempting to disrupt peace during Navratri and Diwali, stating that his government will not tolerate any activities that threaten communal harmony.
The statement comes shortly after the Uttarakhand Police took swift action against miscreants from one community who tried to create unrest, ensuring law and order remained intact.
In an interview with News18, Dhami reiterated his government’s zero-tolerance policy towards those spreading tension or engaging in divisive acts. He emphasized that maintaining peace and religious harmony during festivals is a top priority, assuring citizens that strict action will be taken against any attempt to disturb social balance in the state.
